We have remotes for all the lamps in the family room. I don’t have to move a muscle to turn them on or off.

It’s Sunday, 1:45 a.m., I’m wide awake and Sam is in bed. To tell you the truth, though, I’d conk out in a flash if I powered down my MacBook and turned out the lights in the family room. I’m awake but I’m definitely sleepy, and I just ate the last two Popsicles. Sam promised to buy more at Wal-Mart this morning.

FYI, we have remotes for all the lamps in the family room. I don’t have to move a muscle to turn them on or off. Thank you.

Tick-tock … I really did “conk out in a flash” (see first paragraph) and enjoyed almost nine hours of glorious, uninterrupted sleep. Which brings us to another glorious activity: FREE FONTS from the addicts at Howdygram headquarters! Today I've got several adorable scripts, a casual hand-lettered sans serif, an elegant display font (“Vondey”) that I can’t wait to use for holiday greeting card designs … and more. I absolutely LOVE these fonts … especially “Bellaboo,” “Antonette” and “Nippon Note.”

You’ll find convenient download links after the graphic.

Welcome to “Foody McFoodsville,” home of AMERICA’S WEIRDEST FLAVOR CRAVINGS. For my late breakfast today Sam is nuking a can of Chef Boyardee Ravioli, a favorite of mine from way, way back in the 1970s. This afternoon’s feast was supposed to be Sam’s first foray into “making soup” after he found a pouch of Bear Creek Hot & Sour Soup hiding in the back of the pantry. Sadly, we discovered that it expired in September 2015. (I was still willing to give it a shot but Sam said no.)

Mighty tasty. Just find it before it expires.

Therefore we moved on to Plan B … two quarter-inch slices of braunschweiger on a paper plate with a mound of sweet pickle relish and 10 saltines, figuring an average of five saltines per slice.

Ahh, braunschweiger … a lot like paté, only much, much worse.
I have no idea what’s for dinner tonight as I’m currently on flavor craving overload. I might be willing to settle for one Norco and a couple of Popsicles.

After a couple of lovely afternoon naps I’m pleased to announce that it’s nearly 6:30 p.m. and nearly time for my daily foray into standing up and walking four or five steps to the lovely upholstered bench that’s next to my chaise lounge so Sam can wheel my iMac workstation to me from across the room. I only do this once a day because it involves a lot of shlepping (for me) and rearranging (for Sam), not to mention moving my catheter bag. (I have to be sure I don’t step on it.) And my rolling computer desk might be easy to maneuver but looks fairly heavy.

Therefore I’ll say farewell for today. Farewell! And thank you, as always, for reading this … and if you have to remember the Alamo please do me a favor and keep it to yourself.
