In case you’re interested, here are a few of my latest mug designs. I’ll share some greeting cards as soon as I have a chance to upload them to Zazzle’s website.
Greeting card designs can be slow-going. I have to create and upload high resolution artwork for all four sides of every card, and that includes choosing a color theme, background images, clip art, fonts and so on. It’s fun, absolutely … but tedious. I mean, try deciding on a couple of fonts when you have more than 4,000 loaded on your Mac!
It’s been quite a while since my last herd of FREE FONTS, hasn’t it? I’ll make up for lost time with all of the following … a terrific collection of fonts of every conceivable kind, including hand-drawn serif and sans serif fonts (“Feruci” and “Cheesecake”), fascinating scripts (“Azkasia”), display fonts (“Cucciolo”), fonts for layering (“Mister Froggie”), textured fonts (“Cornhusker”) and lots of assorted extras (“LaType Extras”). Some even include illustrations and catchwords in Adobe Illustrator format. Incidentally, I don’t have a direct download link for “Rafaella,” so if you want the file please shoot me an email, okay? Links for everything else will appear after the graphic so you can add these fonts to your personal collection.
So … it’s a weird, subnormal Tuesday night around here. Sam is sound asleep on the sofa and I’m watching a peculiar collection of movies. I started with The Thing from Another World (1951) starring Kenneth Tobey and James Arness, and now I’m watching a goofy thing called Holiday for Lovers (1959) starring Clifton Webb, Carol Lynley and Jill St. John. Coming up next: Petticoat Fever (1936) starring Robert Montgomery, Myrna Loy and Reginald Owen. It’s about a lonely wireless operator (Montgomery) in Labrador trying to deal with two stranded travelers (Loy and Owen) after their light plane crashes into a snowbank. This is hilarious stuff, people. I think it’s one of Robert Montgomery’s best comedy performances.

I hope you’ll do your best to remember the Alamo once in a while. In the meantime, thank you for reading this.
