Here’s a nice warm wish from the Howdygram to you and yours on Father’s Day!
Although my dad is no longer living — and neither is Sam’s — we discovered a sweet way to celebrate this holiday without them. Our fathers passed away one month apart (different years) and very close to their own birthdays in June and July, so every year we light a shared yahrzeit candle on Father’s Day to remember them together. And here they are! That’s my dad (Herb) on the left in London during World War II. On the right is Sam’s dad (Ben) on a family vacation when Sam was six years old. Are they adorable, or what?
I should probably to go to bed now because it’s almost 3 a.m. and I can’t think of anything else to write. Thank you for putting up with me.
