Happy Sunday night from hot and sweaty north Texas! It’s 81° at 11 p.m., I’m showered, fed and rested, Sam is outside in his slippers shuffling back and forth in front of the house, and I actually tried to start this post hours and hours ago — before lunch, actually! — but never really got into it. Therefore I’m way too late wishing everybody a happy Father’s Day, in case you’re a father. Here’s my annual celebratory graphic just for the hell of it.

Wishing y’all a swell and happy Father’s Day from the Howdygram.
I felt like crap on Friday, I felt like crap yesterday and I feel like crap today. No, actually, worse than that. I feel like SHIT. My knees hurt, my left heel burns, I’m frequently nauseated and I’ve got an ongoing problem with hyper-sensitive skin all over the back of my left thigh — a combination of diabetic neuropathy and recurring cellulitis — that pinches and burns no matter what I wear or where I sit. My current list of ailments includes all of the following.

I’m partial to anything that includes eating and sleeping.
It’s still Father’s Day and I can’t decide what to do with myself. At the moment my options include: 1) continuing this Howdygram post; 2) a lot of food; 3) watching Life with Father (1947) starring William Powell and Irene Dunne; 4) a combination of items 2 and 3 concurrently; and 5) taking a mid-afternoon nap to augment the extended late-morning nap that concluded about an hour ago. Personally, I’m partial to anything that includes eating and sleeping but would appreciate your unbiased opinion if you’d care to share it with me here. Thank you.
