There’s no end to the entertainment possibilities around here.

In case you haven’t noticed, I made a few changes to the Howdygram’s banner! They are: 1) the logo is smaller; 2) the black outline is heavier; and 3) I’m using a different font for the tagline (“Made in Texas,” etc.) and a slightly larger point size.

Please don’t beat yourself up if you didn’t notice any of this. Not everybody is a neurotic like me.

It was time yesterday morning for Sam to pick up another Wal-Mart grocery order! Just in case you didn’t know, I eat some of the cheapest store-bought food on the planet … which also happens to be MIGHTY TASTY! I’m referring to Carl Buddig Chicken Lunch Meat (58¢) and Banquet Chicken Pot Pies (78¢). Is that amazing, or what?! Our complete shopping list appears below:

It’s Tuesday, a few minutes past 4:30 p.m., and we’ve got thunderstorms rolling through here right now. Sam is sound asleep on the sofa (his favorite spot) and I’m trying to decide what’s next on my agenda. I’ve got several options. They are:
  1. ANOTHER LOVELY NAP. I just woke up from one — four hours! — but could always use more. Sleep rocks, doesn’t it? (Especially when it’s raining.)
  2. DINNER AND DESSERT. I want a hamburger patty, a little scoop of potato salad, and the miniature lemon cake that we got from Wal-Mart yesterday. This is really an amazing little hoo-hah. It’s about three inches in diameter, half an inch thick, and tastes like a lemon bundt cake. All for 50¢.
  3. MORE ICE COLD LEMONADE. This one is self-explanatory.
  4. A DIAPER CHANGE. I need a fresh diaper every two or three hours, and sometimes I even have to wake Sam from a sound sleep. It goes on and on and on.
  5. TELEVISION. We’ve got more than 250 excellent movies stored up on our DVR right now, including shitty John Wayne westerns from the early 1930s, the entire roster of classic MGM musicals, fabulous horror and science fiction — such as Forbidden Planet (1956) starring Walter Pidgeon and Leslie Nielsen and The Brain That Wouldn’t Die (1962) starring Jason Evers and Virginia Leith — and my pride and joy, all the Margaret Rutherford “Miss Marple” mysteries! There’s no end to the entertainment possibilities around here.

I’ve been budy uploading new product designs to The Howdygram Store … most recently, 118 iPhone cases (each style is available in multiple colors) and 29 greeting cards. A few of them appear below.

If you’d like to know when all of my products go on sale, you should sign up for Zazzle’s promotional emails (scroll to the bottom of Zazzle.com’s home page). This way you’ll always snag the lowest prices, such as 50% off on mugs, greeting cards, iPhone cases and so on. Everything goes on sale every two or three months.

I’d also like to plug Zazzle’s shipping membership, “Zazzle Black,” at $39 a year. You get free two-day shipping on every order, and if you’re a regular customer, this is definitely worth the expense.

I only have a teeny herd of free fonts for you tonight … a pretty script and two interesting display fonts!  For example, “Marons” has a ton of fabulous alternate characters (check out the connected “R” and “O,” below). Download links will appear after the graphic.

This might be an ideal opportunity to wrap up my post and get back to some greeting card designs. Thank you for reading this, and if you’re not sure what to do about the Alamo, just remember it.
