Please remember Harry and Meghan in your thoughts and prayers.

Holy mother of crap … ANOTHER LOST DAY. It seems that I fell asleep this morning, shortly after a very early breakfast, and woke up at 8:45 p.m., barely an hour ago … feeling limp, lethargic and LOUSY.

This is getting on my noives, à la the Cowardly Lion. I continue to lose large spans of time, and I never know what day it is any more!

I’ve got a respectable list of free fonts for you tonight … a nice script, a bunch of display fonts, and one traditional font (“Gaultier”) that’s worth a lot of dough if you’d rather buy it than get it for free. Also, “Hello Teman” and “Klapjo” are from a six-font bundle. Download links will appear below the graphic.

Regarding “Gaultier,” you can purchase the entire family for $290 at FontSpring or download it for free right here. The package (see below) includes 10 weights — Thin, Ultra Light, Extra Light, Light, Regular, Medium, Semi-Bold, Bold, Black and Heavy — with coordinating small caps and italics for each. Wow, right?!

I snagged some wonderful free high-resolution background patterns from Creative Market yesterday, all of them available in multiple formats so I can update the color themes and design some trendy new products for The Howdygram Store. For instance … ceramic bathroom accessories, bath mats, towels, shower curtains, throw pillows, switchplate covers, matching night lights and so on. So much inspiration, so little time …

Please let me know via email if you want either of these collections and I’ll be glad to send you the files. Thank you for your cooperation.

Oy, everybody. There’s an earthquake going on in Britain! Prince Harry and his bride Meghan have announced their resignation as senior members of the royal family so they can move to America, eat hot dogs and teach their baby Archie how to surf. (Only part of that sentence is actually true. Archie is still too young to surf.) But the resignation, moving to America and (maybe) the hot dog parts are authentic … and the rest of the royals are having cows about it, especially the Queen, because Harry and Meghan’s big news comes just a few short weeks after she had to kick Prince Andrew out of the royal family due to his ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. So there’s that.

In addition to the Prince Andrew scandal, have you noticed that Prince Philip has gone missing? Actually, he retired from his royal responsibilities in 2017, stopped attending all public hoo-hahs last year, and has been in and out of the hospital for the last several months. He’s 98 years old, and the blunt reality that he won’t be around much longer is obviously a difficult issue for the Queen. Oy.

So the Queen has a lot on her plate right now, and Harry’s unexpected defection just made it worse. Rumor has it that he and Meghan want to move to Los Angeles. (My personal guess? Beachfront property in Malibu.)

TV’s most iconic cool dude, Edd Byrnes, 87, died yesterday at his home in Santa Monica, California. Byrnes gained fleeting fame as Kookie, the ultra-hip, wisecracking parking attendant on the jazzy 1950s/60s ABC detective series “77 Sunset Strip,” which aired from 1958 to 1964. Kookie parked cars at Dino’s Lodge, a fictitious Hollywood nightclub owned by Dean Martin. Dino’s served as a backdrop for the show and was next door to the private detective agency run by Stu Bailey (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) and Jeff Spencer (Roger Smith).

In later years Byrnes played smooth-talking Vince Fontaine, the dance contest host in Grease (1978).

Naturally, Byrnes also made the rounds as a special guest on dozens of TV series over the years, including “Murder, She Wrote,” “Fantasy Island,” “Burke’s Law,” “The Love Boat,” “Quincy M.E.,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “Police Story,” and so on. There’s no way to know if any of these appearances brought in enough dough to live on, and now it’s a little too late to ask Kookie, because he’s dead. Thank you.

I just finished uploading the last of my new coffee mug designs (see below) for The Howdygram Store. What’s next on my list of creative projects? More greeting card designs, matchy-matchy bathroom accessories and décor (ceramic sets, bath mats, shower curtains, decorative towels, etc.) and about 75 new iPhone cases. Woo-hoo! As always, I’ll post photos of my new products here in the Howdygram.

We’re expecting a severe weather hoo-hah beginning later tonight! This includes big thunderstorms, strong wind, tornadoes, flash flooding and hail, starting around 5 a.m. Friday and continuing through noon on Saturday. I’ve asked Sam to wheel a few emergency oxygen tanks into the family room so he won’t have to hunt for them if we lose power. It’s always something …

I guess I’d better move along. Thank you for reading this, and please remember Harry and Meghan in your thoughts and prayers tonight when you’re through remembering the Alamo.
