I’m ready for another round of Mott’s applesauce.

Greetings, friends. It’s 9:30 Friday night and I just realized I’ve been asleep almost nonstop since I first opened my eyes this morning at 3 a.m.

In-between back-to-back extended naps, I have: 1) eaten Mott’s applesauce two times and one cup of Bear Creek Darn Good Chili; 2) had a pleasant, 20-minute bath at 1 p.m. from my hospice C.N.A.; 3) scanned the headlines on The Palmer Report, my favorite leftist anti-Trump news blog; and 4) watched today’s episode of “The People’s Court.”

This hasn’t been a very productive day. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Holy crap, everybody … I’ve got more free fonts for you! Today’s freebies offer something for everybody, including a few interesting scripts (“Julia,” “Qickie,” “Primaria”), a familiar classic (“Windsor”) that’s been around since Letraset’s press-type craze in the 1970s, excellent display fonts (“Cosmonut Pro,” “Casanova,” “Armavir”) and a large premium bundle offering almost three dozen excellent and unusual fonts. I think my favorite from the bundle is “Silverland Ornate,” a clipart font with a dozen pairs of quirky hand-drawn left-and-right bookends for banners or ribbons. (I’ll include a sample in the next section.) Download links will appear after the graphic.

Here’s the sample I promised you … a pair of left-and-right bookends from “Silverland Ornate” with a banner in the center added by yours truly. I think I’ll be able to use these bookends in my greeting card designs for The Howdygram Store. They’re unusual, aren’t they?

You probably know by now that I’m almost as addicted to textures and backgrounds as I am to free fonts! Therefore, it’s my pleasure to introduce this exciting and versatile collection of soft foil textures in 254 colors that I bought a little while ago on Etsy.com. Are these gorgeous, or what?

It’s almost 1 p.m., and as soon as Sam wakes up from his nap I want him to bring me a large order of hot and sour soup from China City, because spicy Asian is the only food I can taste. Everything else is just corrugated cardboard or wallpaper paste, and I can’t get beyond one or two mouthfuls before I give up. Therefore, if you don’t want me to starve to death the only answer is HOT AND SOUR SOUP. (A couple of days ago Sam brought home two large orders, and I want two orders today, too. Oh boy!)

At last … the Dallas metro area is finally expecting some COOLER WEATHER. Following several consecutive months of very sweaty summer temperatures in the mid- to upper-90s, there’s a minor cool-down coming overnight tomorrow into Monday morning, and seriously cooler weather arriving next Friday. Please check out the following forecast chart from Weather.com. If you’re as excited as we are, please send us an email at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

I don’t think I need to say much about the following image except: WHAT A PIG.

And now, finally, I’ll end this post with a photo of the three babies Kim Kardashian West refers to as the “triplets.” Here, from left to right, are first cousins Chicago West (Kim’s youngest daughter), True Thompson (Khloe’s daughter) and Stormi Webster (Kylie Jenner’s little girl). They’re all just a couple of months apart in age, learned to walk at the same time, and toddle all over the house holding hands on play dates. I don’t know why, but I get the biggest kick out of this.

FYI, there are other teeny relatives, too! Kim has two boys who are slightly older and slightly younger than Chicago and a daughter who’s six, and Kim’s brother Robert has a daughter, Dream, who’s three years old. Kim’s sister Kourtney has three children, none of them babies, ranging in age from four to 10.

Thank you for reading this.
