Facebook is down right now. Is anybody going through withdrawal?

Here’s hoping y’all are enjoying a pleasant Tuesday evening. Everything is peaceful* here, with Sam asleep on the sofa, They Died with Their Boots On (1941) starring Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland on TV, and I’m taking a short break from new greeting card designs for The Howdygram Store. In case you care, my designs during the last few days have been prolific … 16 so far, and more to come! I’ll share a few for you in the Howdygram as soon as I have a chance to upload my artwork to Zazzle and post the cards for sale. Stay tuned, okay?

Even though everything is lovely tonight, it wasn’t quite as lovely earlier in the day. I woke up this morning late, rather befuddled after a lot more overnight sleep than I expected and feeling generally depressed and sad … although I didn’t really know why. The sour mood eventually lifted when I sent Sam to Wal-Mart for a frozen lemon meringue pie. For the record, it’s a medical fact that pie (and Hydrocodone) can fix anything, including depression, bunions and unwanted pregnancies.

I’ve got a few free fonts for you this morning … including some nice display styles (“Stella,” “Aprilio Super,” “Sincopa”) and two cute scripts (“Aprilio Script,” “Think Action”). Download links will appear after the graphic in case you want any or all of these for your personal collection. You’re welcome.

This is shaping up to be a REALLY BIG WEEK at Howdygram headquarters, as indicated below:

I HAD A VISIT FROM MY HOSPICE N.P. ON TUESDAY. This is a hospice staff nurse practitioner who visits once every 60 days to make sure patients still qualify for the free Medicare services they’re receiving. In other words … that I’m still bedridden, housebound, hooked up to a catheter 24/7, how many hours every day do I need oxygen, am I sleeping well, what’s my overall pain level and so on. And she tends not to give you any advance notice before she visits. Yesterday she called at 5 p.m. and showed up 15 minutes later. I guess she wants to make sure I’m not standing in the kitchen cooking dinner or spending an hour at the local salon.

BATHING AND HYGIENE SESSIONS WITH LETICIA. I get these three times a week. My next session is today at 10:30 a.m., and Leticia will be back on Friday for another one. (My Friday session always includes an excellent salon-quality shampoo.)

BIG-ASS THUNDERSTORMS ARE ON THE WAY. We’re expecting severe thunderstorms and wild winds hurricane-force winds around 7 a.m., which is about three hours from now. The red star denotes Howdygram headquarters in Mesquite. Auntie Em! Auntie Em!

SAM PICKED UP A WAL-MART ORDER THIS MORNING. Today’s order included sliced rye bread, Hostess SnoBalls, a bag of Great Value’s Frozen Fruit Medley, Sam’s Choice Loaded Potato Skins, Crystal Light Sugar-Free Lemonade mix, Great Value Sugar-Free Sweet Iced Tea mix, Hormel Compleats Chili, sugar-free Tropical Popsicles, jumbo hamburger buns and six Totino’s Supreme Party Pizzas*.
If you’ve never tried Totino’s individual-sized Party Pizzas, you’re missing something truly swell. Sam and I love them! They’re rectangular thin crust pizzas that measure about 7" x 10" with high quality sauce and toppings, 100% yummy … and they’re a genuinely substantial meal or snack for one person. And the best part is, these pizzas cost only $1.06 each at Wal-Mart. And that’s NOT a typo!

A few more news tidbits. First, a quick WORD OF WISDOM from me to you. Please never fall asleep while you’re eating a Maruchan Hot & Spicy Shrimp Ramen Noodle Bowl or you’ll wake up with a third-degree burn on your neck and the WORST. ACID. REFLUX. EVER. Thank you.

PAUL MANAFORT was sentenced again today for two more felonies by U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson in Washington and will be spending a total of 7½ years in prison. Before Manafort’s lawyers even had a chance to exit the courthouse, however, their client had already been charged with another 16 felonies by the State of New York. Woo-hoo!

I need Hydrocodone and a fresh glass of iced tea. I wonder if Sam would get upset if I turned on the light and tried to wake him up.

Thank you for reading this.
