We’ve got the smoking gun that qualifies Mike Huckabee for our latest Putz of the Week award.

Good evening, boys and girls! It’s been a wet, overcast Sunday here in North Texas. I’m at my desk in the study nursing a nice tall Marcytini while we enjoy a short break in the weather after several additional inches of rain this morning. More weather is on the way starting Monday around 2 p.m. and lasting until late into the night. The forecast calls for another two or three inches of rain — holy shit — with severe thunderstorms every now and then just for the hell of it.

Oy. WE DON’T NEED MORE RAIN.

According to the Associated Press, on Thursday the Springdale Police Department in Arkansas destroyed the 2006 offense report detailing accusations of sexual misconduct — specifically, repeatedly fondling and assaulting five younger sisters — against “19 Kids and Counting” star Josh Duggar by order of Judge Stacey Zimmerman.

Police spokesman Scott Lewis told the AP that such records should be  kept indefinitely, but “as far as the Springdale Police Department is concerned, this report doesn’t exist.”

As a follow-up to my Howdygram post on Friday, the Duggar family is an uber-religious right-wing cult of anti-LGBT, anti-abortion Bible-beating FRAUDS who are deeply embedded in Arkansas state politics. Although several Arkansas Republicans have rushed to their defense, mostly spewing the usual “boys will be boys” and “Jesus forgave him” bullshit, former Governor Mike Huckabee — who’s currently trying to squeeze his useless ass into the 2016 Republican clown car — took it a step further and posted a diatribe to his Facebook page accusing Duggar critics of “insensitive bloodthirst” against an “innocent boy who made a mistake.” MADE A MISTAKE? Huckabee is being torn to shreds on his own Facebook page for supporting a pedophile who never faced any consequences for his actions and then continued to live with his victims for another dozen years.

And in case you haven’t guessed by now ... Judge Stacey Zimmerman is a personal friend of Huckabee’s and was appointed to her post while he was governor. This is the smoking gun that qualifies Huckabee for our latest Putz of the Week award.

It’s time for the media and ordinary citizens to discredit Mike “Uncle Cornpone” Huckabee in his presidential bid. I hope this is the end of his public life as a politician, author and evangelical stooge. Mike Huckabee, YOU ARE A SHITBAG.
