I’ve got 14 wonderful new fonts for you tonight … including five bold layered fonts ready for posters, a slew of display fonts (“Herold, “Halloweb,” “Presley Slab”), a pair of delicate scripts (“Munira,” “Monterey”), and a hand-drawn swirly, girly font (“The Girly Kid”). My favorites here would be “Retrofest” (the only font I’ve ever found with two extruded layers!), “Plantanos” and “Bon Voyage,” the latter being deliciously retro from the early 1970s (think about the Partridge family). Download links appear after the graphic in case you want any (or all) of these for your personal collection.

Yesterday I treated myself to two collections of high-resolution foil background images from Etsy.com … 100 luxury foils and 100 seamless shiny textured foils. I’m awfully damn excited about these and already started using them for greeting card designs. These collections were on sale for only $1.87 each, which is really an awfully teeny price to pay for so much FUCKING INSPIRATION!
Without telling Sam — although I suspect he’ll figure this out eventually — I went back to Etsy.com on Sunday afternoon and grabbed three more sparkly collections while the prices were still 50% off: 1) a collection of seamless Glitter Marble textures in 100 colors; 2) a set of 20 exquisite abstract Gold and Black Paint Splatter textures; and 3) a 100-color collection of faceted sparkling gemstones.
One more quick comment. I’ll use all of these background collections for design projects for The Howdygram Store, such as greeting cards, iPhone cases, night lights, coasters, clipboard, spiral notebooks, padfolios, luggage tags and passport holders. As soon as I have some finished artwork uploaded to my store on Zazzle's marketplace I’ll post a few images in the Howdygram. I know you can’t wait.
I’m waiting for my hospice C.N.A. to show up (bath time!) while I try to decide whether or not there’s time to eat a little food before she gets here. I think I’ll just watch a few episodes of “People’s Court” and enjoy a few minutes with Sam and a little bowl of cottage cheese. Life is good.
Thank you for reading this and please remember the Alamo if at all possible.
