Wolfgang Marks, my brilliant chef-in-residence, made me a cheeseburger tonight.

Hi. Me again. It’s 10:37 Thursday morning and I just finished two recorded TV shows that Sam always refuses to watch with me … “Project Runway All-Stars” and “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” (Trust me, I fully understand his objections.)

In case you’re curious, this season the New Jersey housewives added a pair of new faces — Jackie and Jennifer — to the regular lineup of ostentatious bitches. Jennifer, in particular, is a foul-mouthed jerk. She’s married to a plastic surgeon, has five children and an addiction to anything from Chanel, lives in a New Jersey “French chateau” with 16 bathrooms, and has a dining room with two dozen chairs that look like real thrones. The only reason I watch is because most of the housewives (Melissa, Jackie, Margaret and Dolores) tend to gang up on her. (Technically, Teresa is too fucking stupid to gang up on anybody. Seriously.)

This is truly television at its finest and I strongly recommend “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Thank you.

Although I don’t have a lot of FREE FONTS for you today, I thought this would be a fine time to share the ones I’ve got. There are four of them … all interesting display fonts. I especially love “Glass Light” because it includes seven interesting styles, such as fancy initial caps, small caps, swashy alternate characters and several ornate clipart dingbat fonts (examples appear below). Download links will be included after the graphic. Enjoy!

I also want to share some new background patterns and graphic elements that I snagged for free earlier this week from Creative Market. All of these backgrounds are “seamless,” which means you can tile them endlessly in any direction to create a gigantic image as big as North Dakota … just in case you need one. (Personally, I’ve never needed a background image larger than Delaware.) I especially love the Mountain Lodge patterns. Check out that adorable watercolor BUFFALO PLAID!

If you want any of these graphics please shoot me an email and I’ll be glad to send you a zip file.

It’s 7:45 p.m. and I’m thinking about waking Sam so I can eat dinner. I have a serious burger craving tonight … and that’s a good thing because we actually have everything in stock so our resident chef — Wolfgang Marks — can throw together a fine cheeseburger for me! The required ingredients include: 1) frozen grilled Angus hamburger patties from Costco that you nuke to perfection in three minutes; 2) pepper jack cheese; 3) jumbo Wal-Mart brand hamburger buns; 4) ketchup; 5) mustard; 6) cheap dill pickle chips; and 7) half a bag of frozen steak fries … providing Sam can find them. And ooh, I think we also might have a container of Wal-Mart cole slaw! Yee-haw!

STILL DICKING AROUND. In yesterday’s post I mentioned a few of the Howdygram’s design features that I’d been “tweaking” to make it even more adorable than before. I added another tweak earlier today that you may not have noticed yet … the “hover” color of my post headlines. It used to be red. Now it’s the same shade of dusty blue as the text you’re reading … #58648c. Got that? I’m exceptionally fond of this shade of dusty blue!

IM HAVING A BATH TOMORROW MORNING. It’s Friday, remember? My hospice sends a C.N.A. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a nice bathing and hygiene session, and on Mondays she even washes my hair. (She’s as good as a salon professional. Leticia could have a second career if she ever gets sick of bathing old women.)

REALLY YOOGE FONT NEWS. I just discovered Best-Fonts.com, a website that offers all of Hallmark’s very cool greeting card fonts for free … and other fonts, too! I downloaded seven Hallmark font families, a Harry Potter knockoff font and a dingbats font featuring a bunch of funny heads and faces. You’ll get to see them in my next post. (FYI, Hallmark fonts typically sell for $39 each.

It’s time to wrap up this post and eat a can of Campbell’s Chicken and Rice soup … the perfect late-night snack for a bedridden blogger. Thank you for reading this, and if you’re not interested in remembering the Alamo tonight I honestly don’t think I can blame you.
