Coming soon to Mesquite: World-famous gas station tacos!

It’s a few minutes past 2 a.m., Sam just went to bed and I’m here in the study with a Marcytini, a small platoon of Russell Stover sugar-free marshmallow Santas and the Howdygram. Welcome to my world. I guess you’re stuck with me.

I’ve got some breaking news this morning from north Texas! Fuel City announced Monday it will open a new brand facility in Mesquite — ONLY TEN MINUTES FROM HOWDYGRAM HEADQUARTERS — on 17 acres of land at the intersection of Town East and Samuell Boulevard, just off Highway 80. It will be Fuel City’s third location in Texas after Dallas and Lufkin. Holy shit, people!

The new spot will be double the size of the downtown Dallas location at 11,000 square feet, will serve Fuel City’s WORLD-FAMOUS GAS STATION TACOS and boast Mesquite’s first ORIGINAL FRIED PIE SHOP. There will be 24 gas pumps and eight truck diesel pumps, and like its other locations Fuel City will be open 24/7 serving tacos, fried dough and petroleum products around the clock. Also breath mints probably.
Fuel City owner John Benda says he hopes to have exotic animals such as camels and longhorns grazing at the new location. The Dallas location only has longhorns. I wonder how Mesquite got lucky enough to score CAMELS!?
For your possible interest the following map indicates: A) Howdygram headquarters; B) the new Fuel City location featuring famous gas station tacos; C) our favorite Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market; and D) the three-year-old Chinese buffet at Tripp and Galloway that’s been out of bounds since it opened due to Sam’s unnatural fear of week-old egg rolls and ptomaine. He’s such a scaredy-cat.

I think I should try going to bed now. Thank you for stopping by.
