Thank you for putting up with me.

Good morning to one and all. It’s 1:45 a.m., I’m wide awake, drinking iced tea and typing maniacally from my hospital bed in the family room. I wish I had a couple of Nutri-Grain bars to keep me company, but they’re in the kitchen and I’m bedridden.

Life can be really unfair.

In case you haven’t visited The Howdygram Store lately, I thought I’d share a few of my latest product designs for your possible interest. First up … four of my new greeting cards, including a slick birthday option for your favorite cat lady.

And now for a couple of my new mousepad designs! The floral print will be available in six or seven different colorways as soon as I finish uploading the rest of the artwork files to my marketplace on Zazzle’s website … hopefully sometime this morning. I’ve got about 35 new mousepad designs in all, and by tomorrow I’d like to start working on some additional mug designs. (FYI, there are already more than 150 mugs for sale in The Howdygram Store.) At some point I also want to start a line of custom mason jars, and I already have a handful of initial designs ready to go.

Many of you already know that The Howdygram Store — and the Howdygram, too, of course — are the creative passions of my life. Last spring, after I wound up 100% bedridden, Sam found a way to relocate my huge iMac desktop workstation from the study, set it up on a rolling tray table that fits over my hospital bed in the family room, and helped me figure out how to rig an Apple bluetooth keyboard on a lightweight lap desk that’s designed for a MacBook. This gave me a chance to enjoy creative projects 24/7 again without walking to another room or sitting at a desk … or even getting out of bed.

It was like a blood transfusion or a cure for cancer. Sam saved my life. (Again!)

Please raise your hand if you noticed the monumental change I made to the Howdygram a couple of days ago!

This time the change involves the Howdygram’s LINKS. This includes: 1) instead of links appearing in red throughout the blog, now they’re all the same color as our regular text, which is #707a9f, dusty blue; 2) the links are all underlined now; and 3) they only turn red when you hover your cursor over them. This is really exciting shit, isn’t it? A sample appears below in case you have no idea what I’m talking about.

Old Links     New Links

Thank you for putting up with me.

I’ve got a fascinating collection of free fonts for you this morning Frankly, I can’t wait to use these for design projects for The Howdygram Store! I especially love “Infusion,” “Comic Caps” and “Xiovus.”  Please note … “Burly” and “Xiovus” are part of 10-font bundle. (These are the only two fonts I installed on my Mac because the other eight are seriously ugly.)

I want to mention that “Circle Monogram” is pretty amazing. It includes four fonts in all … “Left,” “Center,” “Right” and “Frames.” It’s very easy to use (some monogram fonts are NOT) and it took less than a minute to put together the monogram sample below.

As always, you’ll find download links after the graphic.

I wanted to write more, but I think my sleeping pill just kicked in. Trazodone can be awfully powerful sometimes! (I take 100mg at bedtime.)

Thank you for reading this.
