Hi, boys and girls ... and happy Tuesday night to all of you! Do you know what today is?
Yup, I’m 65 years old ... a genuine senior citizen with a Medicare card to prove it. And if that’s not enough, TODAY WAS ALSO SAM’S LAST DAY OF WORK! He was home by noon, stopped for a quick haircut and enjoyed a two-hour afternoon nap. Tonight we decided to “Thai one on” for dinner with a carryout food orgy from Zenna and watched The Mummy (1932) starring Boris Karloff. If you never seen it, it’s a real work of art.
In case you’re interested, dinner tonight included all of the following: 1) a double order of ASSORTED TEMPURA; 2) four CRISPY WRAPPED SHRIMP WHATNOTS; 3) CORN NIBLET FRITTER PANCAKE THINGS with a tasty sweet sauce; 4) strange STEAMED TULIP DUMPLINGS with mushroomy dip; 5) ALASKA ROLL WITH CRAB MEAT AND SALMON; and 5) two orders of THAI CHICKEN SALAD on hacked-up lettuce with a shitload of hot pepper!
Unfortunately, I’m also not feeling very well today. I’ve got a fever, occasional chills, muscle aches, joint pain, an overactive bladder and not much enthusiasm. As soon as I finish this post I promised Sam to join him in the family room for a pleasant movie.
This might be the perfect time to do that, actually.
Thank you for reading this. And happy birthday to me.
