I’m back, after practically sleeping through (and wasting) a whole Sunday. Mostly I was conked out on the chaise in the family room, which is the best damn spot in the house, watching movies with ice water and Sam, not necessarily in that order.
I might be taking too many drugs.
I know you’ll love today’s line-up of fabulous FREE FONTS! My favorites are probably “Ayres,” “Tamaki” (which comes with eight different styles) and “Baling Ink.” In case you’re interested, “Reborn” is a layering font. It’s got a base font, two different styles to layer on top, and one font that’s nothing but fancy frames, borders, banners and doodads! I’ll include download links after the graphic in case you want any of these for your personal collection.
I’ve also got some digital backgrounds that I’d like to show off. The first is a collection of 50 high-resolution weathered wood textures — i.e., peeling paint — which was this week’s giveaway from Design Cuts. I have no idea what I’ll ever do with this weird crap, but you never know. A few of them might make interesting artwork for iPhone cases (for The Howdygram Store).
Next I have a set of 10 images of splashing waves and rocks, which were part of my weekly freebies from Creative Market. I think they might come in handy for a new themed collection of greeting cards for The Howdygram Store, although I’ll probably forget I have them by the time I start working on new designs. My short-term memory is shot to hell.
Everlasting putz Donald Trump is in our crosshairs this week after firing FBI director James Comey, threatening Comey on Twitter, and then making up at least half a dozen different stories explaining why he was fired ... although the most outrageous had to be his displeasure with Comey’s “atrocities” against Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. Yeah, right.
I’m ready for somebody — anybody! — to start impeachment proceedings against this idiotic clown. We only need 20 patriotic Republicans in the House to join with the Democrats to get this show underway. I’ve got more than enough popcorn for the duration.
