Happy Cinco de Mayo, Mexico’s annual mayonnaise celebration!

I’ll begin today’s Howdygram post with a festive holiday greeting to one and y’all … we wish you a very HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO, Mexico’s annual MAYONNAISE CELEBRATION! And here’s my annual Cinco de Mayo graphic, complete with five jars of Hellmann’s (the preferred brand of Howdygram headquarters). Enjoy … make yourself a bowl of tuna salad!

Today’s other big hoo-hah, of course, is the KENTUCKY DERBY, an annual two-minute horse race that inspires female spectators to wear very stupid shit on their heads. Today’s race will be the 144th “run for the roses,” featuring 20 really nice horses. Favorites include Good Magic, Justify, Bolt D’Oro, Mendelssohn and Magnum Moon ... but handicappers think Justify will win.

In case you want to watch the race this afternoon, actual post time is 5:34 p.m. Central time on your local NBC station … but tune in around 5 because you’ll want to watch all the horses parading to the gate.

Good ol’ Mitt Romney, the GOP’s favorite down-to-earth one-percenter, recently announced to a gathering of supporters in Idaho: “My favorite meat is hot dog. That’s my favorite meat.”

My favorite meat is hot dog? That’s like asking Mitt to name his favorite car, and he answers: “I like sedan.”

Mitt Romney’s favorite meat is HOT DOG.

Then Mitt added: “My second-favorite meat is hamburger. And, everyone says, oh, don’t you prefer steak? It’s like, I know steaks are great, but I like hot dog best, and I like hamburger next-best.”

Spoken like a true six-year-old. But more importantly, does anybody actually believe that bullshit?! That the multi-millionaire tool with his own garage elevator claims his favorite meat is HOG DOG? Mitt probably eats hot dog while watching sport on TV. What an ideal everyday American man of the people!

It’s nap time, boys and girls. Thank you for reading this.
