Creativity, thunderstorms, new fonts … and that asshole is still in the White House.

You have to forgive me. I’ve been a little too wrapped up in my other addiction — greeting card design — for the last seven days and really haven’t set aside any extra time to write a Howdygram post. However I did put all that “design time” to good use. I created about 14 new cards for The Howdygram Store, including two new collections … “Me and the Cat” and some pretty soft-touch watercolor landscapes.

Incidentally, all of them are funny, snotty and/or sarcastic ... because that's the only kind of greeting card I’ll create. (If you want something serious go to a Hallmark store.)
In addition to new greeting cards, I’d like to introduce The Howdygram Store’s new line of all-over print tote bags, which are available in three sizes. These totes are truly GORGEOUS, people, and they’re priced for year-round gift-giving. (That’s a big hint.) Psst … if you sign up for Zazzle.com’s promotional mailings you could save up to 50% when they go on sale!
I’d also like to show off a few of our latest mug designs. We’ve got 103 to choose from (so far!) in The Howdygram Store’s Just Mugs category … including our popular “Founding Fathers” collection! (Every “Founding Fathers” mug has a famous quote on the other side.)

I’ve got a small but mighty group of FREE FONTS for you this afternoon! Two playful scripts (“Alfie” and “Grandfather”), a classic sans serif (“Goudy Sans”), and a mini-bundle family of 15 styles (“Nickson”) that includes five separate fonts full of illustrations and catchwords! I love catchwords! Download links will appear below the graphic.

I think I forgot to mention that we’ve had some huge thunderstorms and torrential rain here for the last few days … with more on the way tomorrow and Saturday. In the meantime, creeks and small lakes are pouring over their banks, and the town of Rockwall (not far from Howdygram headquarters) has been hit hard. Here’s a picture of a Rockwall neighborhood that’s under water today, located just west of our Costco store. I should mention that it’s REALLY COLD outside, too, and the high today is only 40°. Texas is sick of winter!

One final thought …
Thank you for putting up with me.
