Know what? I’ve been expanding The Howdygram Store’s product line again.

Happy Tuesday, y’all. Sam is out for a walk around the lake and I’m here at home typing furiously … even though I’m not really furious about anything except the Manhattan orangutan in the White House. Also Congress.

I’ll begin today with a brief health update featuring Baylor HouseCalls, the pleasant and highly-attentive medical group that’s been making me feel like Queen Elizabeth. My nurse practitioner (Anthonia) and two assistants show up at Howdygram headquarters every three weeks for a routine exam. They check my vitals — blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen level and temperature — and determine that I’m still breathing. Then we attempt to chit-chat for a while, which is no small feat due to Anthonia’s heavy and exotic accent. Quarterly they do a blood draw to monitor my glucose, among other things, and to make sure my kidneys aren’t kablooey. Then I wave goodbye from the palace balcony and go back inside to eat cucumber sandwiches. (I might kidding about the balcony and sandwich thing.)

I’ve got a wonderful gang of FREE FONTS for you today, including all kinds of interesting scripts (“Northern Lights,” “Anisha,” “Azkia,” and “Holden Brush”), a terrific hand-drawn sans serif (“Wild Child”) and an exciting display font (“Azote”) that comes with six different styles. WOO-HOO! Download links will appear after the graphic in case you’re a collector.

If you ever notice large spans of dead time between my Howdygram posts it’s usually because I’ve been designing new products for The Howdygram Store. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing all week! This time I’ve added a new product category — “Around the House” — that includes recipe binders, wall clocks, night lights and switchplate covers in six different configurations! The products all feature matching designs so you can jazz up a favorite room in your home with coordinating accessories. I’m planning a minimum of three dozen designs. Eventually this category also will include bath accessories, bath towel sets, bathroom scales and shower curtains. Holy moly!
Incidentally, just about everything in The Howdygram Store is affordably priced for birthday presents, Christmas, Hanukkah, family gift exchanges and office grab-bags. And most products can be personalized with a name or monogram. Is that a big fat hint, or what?!

It’s 4:30 Thursday afternoon and I want to make an announcement: I’VE BEEN FEELING GOOD THIS WEEK. I believe this could be a combination of the following factors: 1) the podiatrist who came over on Monday and removed three ingrown nails from the baby toe on my left foot, thereby reducing my overall toe pain by at least 80%; 2) taking an intensely high dose of vitamin D for the last three weeks; and 3) gout relief, at long last, from Allopurinol. My heartfelt thanks to medical science.

Raise your hand if you want to come over for pizza tonight.
