Creative Cloud technology can get a little overwhelming for an old coot like yours truly.

It’s exactly 9 p.m. on a clammy Monday night here in Texas. Sam is unconscious in the family room with a John Wayne movie and I’ve decided to hang back in the study binge-reading a full day of aggravating news stories, 32 stupid emails — wow! incontinence supplies are on sale again at Allegro Medical! — and the Howdygram.

I’m also pishing a lot today, even more than usual. (Thank you, Lasix.)

Look! More free fonts! Today’s collection has something for everybody, such as interesting display fonts (“Offhand” is designed for layering) and pretty hand-drawn fonts like “Getaway” and “Blue Mountain.” I’ll include download links after the graphic, okay?

Every Monday is “freebie day” with Creative Market … and here are the goodies I downloaded today! A bunch of pretty patterns, weird Siberian forest animals, lots of colorful tropical fish and some really excellent gold foil swatches for Adobe Illustrator. Incidentally, I’m still adjusting to the latest Illustrator upgrade, which I installed a couple of months ago when Sam and I bought our new iMacs. Creative Cloud technology can get a little overwhelming for an old coot like yours truly, and sometimes I even have trouble following online tutorials. EVERYBODY TALKS TOO DAMN FAST.

I’ll wind up today’s post with the following really adorable video of a playful baby elephant chasing after a flock of birds. I love what happens after she falls down … and goes running back to mommy! Enjoy.

Thank you for reading this. I’ll try to write more on Tuesday.
